When using pure epoxy primer powder, follow these steps:
1. Surface Preparation
Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of contamination. Remove impurities such as oil, rust, and old paint.
2. Mixing the Primer
Stir the paint thoroughly until there is no sediment at the bottom of the bucket. Add the designated hardener at a ratio of 10:1 paint to hardener by weight, stir thoroughly, and let it sit for 10-15 minutes before use.
3. Spraying the Primer
Use an airless sprayer, air sprayer, brush, or roller. When spraying the primer, use an appropriate spray gun and pressure. Maintain a proper distance between the spray gun and the vehicle surface and apply the primer evenly to ensure a uniform coating thickness.
4. Drying and Sanding
After spraying the primer, allow time for drying, typically several hours to a day. Sanding is required after spraying the primer. Standard process requires sanding after each coat. When using epoxy powder primer, please note the following:
Ensure the spraying temperature is between 10°C and 35°C, and the relative humidity is below 85%.
Avoid outdoor spraying in inclement weather such as rain, snow, strong winds, or sandstorms.
When spraying, select the appropriate spray gun and pressure, maintain an appropriate distance between the spray gun and the vehicle surface, and spray the primer evenly to ensure a uniform coating thickness.
After spraying the primer, allow a certain drying time, typically several hours to a day.
